Description
VitaO is under new ownership from the previous VitaOrganic, but it retains much of the former character. It is a good place to pop into in central London for a relaxed meal, or even a hurried lunch break. There is a counter service where you pay for a plate full of a wide range of gently cooked and raw dishes, many of east Asian influence. Absolutely everything is suitable for both vegans and vegetarians.
The atmosphere is informal and cafe-like and the prices are good, so you really don't have to break the bank for a great meal in the heart of London. It may not be the first place you take someone who's a very basic meat and two veg type - ease them in gently with somewhere like Tibits first.
You may well find yourself dropping in here again and again once you discover it. Do also try the delicious Vantra restaurant in Soho Square, which is run by the previous owners, but maybe lacks the atmosphere of here.
