Wonderful easy going restaurant, great for adults, groups and kids (downstairs play area). Despite its informality it's rather smart and in a nice area, so you can use it for business meals and functions too.
You can eat as much or as little as you like, and only pay for what you pile on your plate from the extensive hot and cold buffet. You then go to have your food weighed, order your drinks and either pay or put it on a tab, which is handy if you keep coming back for more. A nice touch is the light-sensitive water fountain, so you only need one hand to fill your glass while holding your food in the other.
Vegan, gluten-free and nut-containing items are labeled and all dishes have their own serving impliments.
Sometimes there's a good choice of vegan desserts, and other times not. Do encourage them, as they are aiming to increase their range. If you are booking a party or plan to come with a group then ask for extra vegan desserts. We particularly like the dairy-free mango cream mousse and fruity cheese cake style desserts.
The downstairs room is available for parties and functions and has a nice atmosphere. Apart from this, bookings are not taken. Vegetarian Society approved.

A mix of breakfast items, antipasti mixtures, salad combinations, fresh sandwiches, tempting dessert and cooling drinks all ready prepared for you to simply pick up and go. You will find old favourites alongside brand new creations such as vegan desserts including Sticky Toffee Pudding and Summer Pudding.
